    Sunrise in Wellington, New Zealand was at 6.35 am this morning so my daughter and I headed up to the Brooklyn Wind Turbine for a fabulous view. The Brooklyn Wind Turbine is the oldest operating turbine in New Zealand and has set many international records.

    There is so much to see when visiting the Brooklyn Wind Turbine. Not only is there a giant wind turbine to stand under, but you are also standing at the highest public viewpoint in Wellington. The view is amazing, with views of the city, airport and coastline. In the distance, you can also see the Makara wind farm, where to turbine are about three times bigger than the one here at Brooklyn. This is actually the second turbine here, installed in 2016 to replace the existing one that was put up in 1993.
